I was taught to "detach" from personal possessions, but I've always been someone who feels things deeply. My memories (and even parts of my identity) are tied to the things I love, after all. I thought I had to choose between holding on or "detaching" myself from them. Over time I've realised both can exist together. I can feel grateful for the things I love while accepting and letting go of them when it's time. Even without my favourite things, I'll still be okay, I'll still be enough. They may fade, erode, or disappear eventually, so this is my way to immortalise them: a personal shrine to the objects I hold dear to. These are some of my favourite things and some short anecdotes.
